Welcome to 2026, HVA Ravens!
Welcome to a new school year! It is a joy to welcome our students and families back as we begin another year of learning, growth, and connection. The first few weeks of school are designed to help students build routines, strengthen relationships, and prepare for a successful year ahead.

The school year begins on 9/3/26, and we look forward to welcoming students back for a strong start to the year! Please note the schedule adjustments and assessment days during the first few weeks.

9/2/26, 12-3:30: Business Day, ALL Families 

9/3/26: First Day of School, Strong Start In Person, Schedule B

9/4/26: Picture Day, Strong Start In Person, All students need signed WSLP, Schedule B

9/7/26: No School, Labor Day

9/8/26: Strong Start In Person, i-Ready ELA, Schedule B

9/9/26: Strong Start In Person, i-Ready Math, Schedule B

9/10/26: Students Online, Schedule A

9/11/26: 6th and 9th Grade Students In Person for High School & Beyond Planning. Grades 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12 attend online.

9/18/26: i-Ready Math Makeups

9/23/26: Workday Wednesday Schedule -- this will be sent out soon

Please review these dates carefully and mark your calendars, as several days include different schedules, online learning, and important student assessments. Contact the school office if you have questions about your student's schedule.Blended Model need to be in person the first 4 days of school. We will update school photos, build community with our advisory, take i-Ready diagnostics, start Highschool and Beyond Planning and get prepared to have a successful year in all classes. Independent Model students should attend school in person on the first day of school. to build community with your advisory class. Friday--work on your classes online, drop in and update school photos & get help with any tech needs. Tuesday, 9/8 & Wednesday, 9/9 be in person for i-Ready. New students will also be invited to an additional orientation.New Bell Schedule – Online Day vs In Person Day 
We're implementing a dual bell schedule to better serve our students. Online days will begin at 8:30 AM, supporting students participating who are cross-enrolled in other programs such as Puget Sound Skills Center and after-school sports with better flexibility. 
In-person days will follow a 9:15 AM start time, allowing us to benefit from district-wide transportation to support our Strong Start Days, testing days, and Fridays. 
Our default schedule will be M-Th 8:30--3:00 & Friday 9:15-3:45

It is an HVA expectation that ALL Middle and High School students participate in this assessment. 
ALL STUDENTS NEED TO USE THEIR HIGHLINE-ISSUED CHROMEBOOK & BE VISIBLE ON GOGUARDIAN. 

Diagnostic Restrictions
These restrictions have been placed to ensure best practices for administration from home.

The Diagnostic will not be available before or after school hours. 
The Diagnostic score will not be visible to students.

The data from an i-Ready assessment is extremely valuable. Data gathered from it will be used to better identify and serve our student populations' academic needs across all content classes.  Technology Supports
Students access i-Ready from ClassLink.
