Food Resources for Families and Students

Food Resources for Families and Students

Some families may be facing hardship with the upcoming pause of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits starting November 1. Hunger impacts student learning and well-being. Below are links for food banks and other resources available to families and students.

Please contact your child's school directly if you need more resources. Schools often partner with organizations that may have additional resources.

No-Cost Meals at School

As a reminder, all enrolled Highline students can receive school meals at no cost throughout the school year. Meals are available every school day on campus—no application needed. This ongoing program helps ensure students have consistent access to healthy meals.

Support

If you're in a position to support others:

  • Donate to local food banks - Many are taking donations. Monetary donations are often appreciated, but check with the exact organization.
  • Donate to the Highline Schools Foundation, which often directly supports Highline families.
  • Many of our schools partner with the Backpack Brigade organization, which is taking support as well.
