We can’t wait to meet our new kindergarten students!
Kindergarten is a big milestone for your child, filled with new adventures, learning opportunities and maybe a few nerves too. Jump Start helps ease that transition. It’s a three-day program in August for children entering kindergarten in September.
Jump Start is Wednesday, August 19 to Friday, August 21, 2026
This free program is open to all incoming students who are registered for kindergarten at a Highline elementary school and helps students and their families prepare for school.

Families will also have opportunities to meet school staff, learn about kindergarten readiness and connect with helpful school resources.
How to Participate
Students must be registered for kindergarten to attend Jump Start. To enroll in kindergarten, please visit our enrollment page.
After completing enrollment is complete, families will receive Jump Start details for their child’s school. Find specific school schedules and locations.
